Celebrate National Pi Day!

On our weekly phone call, our grandson told me about National Pi Day on March 14th. He said he was going to do the nerd thing and celebrate by memorizing the numbers equal to Pi.................

Pi, Greek letter (), is the symbol for the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Pi Day is celebrated by math enthusiasts around the world on March 14th. Pi = 3.1415926535…
With the use of computers, Pi has been calculated to over 1 trillion digits past the decimal. Pi is an irrational number meaning it will continue infinitely without repeating. The symbol for pi was first used in 1706 by William Jones, but was popular after it was adopted by the Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler in 1737.

There is pae, and there is pye,and then dupuy, sheepherders pie, steak and kidney pie, shoofly pie, pizza pie, blueberry, apple, pumpkin, chocolate, peach, banana, mince or cherry or berry or "umble-pie."

What kind of guy would not like pie, or pi, or pae?

But since you asked I want to say that the symbol denoting the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter: a transcendental number having a value to eight decimal places of 3.14159265 IS PI!
