Let me hold your hand as we go downhill,
We've shared our strength and we share it still.
It hasn't been easy as we've made the climb,
But the way was eased with your hand in mine.
Like the ocean, our life has had waves and ripples too,
All the challenges in life and with payments due,
There have been happy pauses along the way,
Family, graduations, missions, a raise in pay.
Someday we may need to stop and and take a rest,
And look back for we have truly been blessed
But for now we move forward, together still
