Our world was shattered today when we received news of our sweet daughter Patrice's untimely death. No words can express the sadness that our entire family feels at her passing and the sadness we feel for her 9 1/2 year old son. We will all miss her. She has suffered from depression and anxiety for the past few years as she seemed to lose herself along the way. These past several months have been particularly horrific as she tried to separate herself from a toxic relationship. I have decided I have to leave her in the Lord's hands and not torment our lives with what ifs and questions which will continue to remain.

She was an especially thoughtful person. She had a kind and gentle heart. She loved all of her big extended family. She loved traveling and I don't think she realized how many lives she had touched and how she was loved by so many. She had many friends from every stage of her life... primary teachers, YW leaders, neighbors, jr high and high school friends, college roomies, missionary companions, visiting teachers, coworkers...the list goes on. We are very proud of all of her accomplishments especially her special son. She loved him "so very much". The funeral will be on Monday and then she will be buried in Cedar City Cemetery beside her grandparents whom she dearly loved.
